65 Degrees North Celebrates 10 Years at Merchant Taylors’ Hall

Gala dinner

65 Degrees North marked a major milestone this year, celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a Gala Dinner held in the magnificent surroundings of Merchant Taylors’ Hall in the City of London. The evening brought together supporters, partners, trustees, beneficiaries, and friends of the charity for a night of reflection, inspiration, and celebration.

The event highlighted the charity’s decade-long commitment to supporting wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans through challenging and transformative expeditions. Throughout the night, there was an overwhelming sense of generosity and kindness, with guests showing remarkable support for the charity’s mission raising over £31,049 in the evening auction. Every donation received will go directly towards 65 Degrees North’s programmes, ensuring tangible and lasting impact for beneficiaries, a reflection of the charity’s volunteer-based structure and its commitment to directing funds where they are most needed.

The Gala also featured a powerful and thought-provoking speech from the charity’s President, underscoring the importance of continued support for those who have served.

The CEO shared heartfelt words of thanks on the night, stating:

“What a fantastic evening spent in the magnificent setting of Merchant Taylors’ Hall to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of 65 Degrees North. We are so grateful for the incredible generosity of our partners and friends who continue to support our efforts. Your contributions in whatever form truly do make a difference. Thank you.”

The Chairman also expressed his gratitude, adding:

“Last night was our fundraising dinner in the City of London — we are so fortunate to be supported by many kind and generous people and organisations. Running a volunteer-based charity means that monies go directly into our programme that provides direct impact to our deserving beneficiaries. On behalf of everyone at 65DN, we thank you.”

Sincere appreciation goes to the Board of Trustees, Katie Absalom of Wild Glorious who made the evening possible and the many friends and supporters whose dedication and enthusiasm made this anniversary celebration both memorable and meaningful. The evening captured the spirit of 65 Degrees North, resilience, community, and the determination to create new opportunities for those who have served and been impacted physically or emotionally as a result.

As the charity looks ahead, it remains committed to delivering life-changing experiences and continuing its mission for as long as there is a need.
