65 Degrees North: Supporting Leadership and Making a Difference

CEO George Matthews and Billy Baxter, were delighted to deliver a Leadership Development Day for the Board of Quantem on 8 June 2026.
Quantem has been a valued supporter of our charity for the past four years and we are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to helping us support wounded, injured and sick service personnel.
This particular leadership development package was secured through a recent charity auction at the Charity Clay Challenge last year, with the proceeds directly contributing to the work we do with our beneficiaries.
Attended by Quantem's Board, the interactive and engaging workshop provided an opportunity to explore key elements of effective leadership and high-performing teams.
Designed to encourage discussion, reflection and practical application, the day focused on leadership, emotional intelligence, organisational culture & values, psychological safety and the actions leaders can take to create the conditions for sustained success.
Through a series of facilitated discussions, practical exercises and shared experiences, the team explored how strong leadership behaviours, trust, communication and collaboration can positively influence organisational performance and culture.
What made the day particularly rewarding was the knowledge that Quantem's support extends far beyond the boardroom. Their generosity continues to help create opportunities for recovery, personal development and adventure-based rehabilitation for those who have served our country.
We would like to thank the Board at Quantem for their enthusiasm, openness and engagement throughout the day. It was a privilege for us to work with such a committed leadership team and we look forward to continuing our relationship in the years ahead.
The day reinforced a simple truth: investing in leadership development not only strengthens organisations, it creates the foundations upon which individuals and teams can thrive.
